we create community!
With a warm and welcoming atmosphere, indoor and outdoor seating, plentiful parking and free WiFi, GCR has become THE place in Murphys for the community to meet and gather. On any given day, you may find a student writing a paper on his laptop; a marketing consultant working on her client’s blog; a wedding planner meeting with clients to choose their menu and floral arrangements; the regular morning “coffee klatch” of retired gentlemen having coffee before their group walk around town; the local pastor working on his Sunday sermon; visitors from out of town exploring Murphys; husbands killing time while their wives browse in the nearby knit shop. . . as well as numerous people who just enjoy catching up with their friends over a good cup of coffee.
We also provide an intimate venue for community events such as poetry and prose readings, discussion groups, book signings, live music, storytelling, and small group meetings. Please contact us if you’d like to host a special event, and we will do our best to accommodate you!
