Our retail cafe is temporarily closed due to corona virus (COVID-19) - related public health and safety restrictions. We hope to be able to reopen the cafe soon for take-out ordering and curbside delivery.
In the meantime, our Coffee Roastery remains open and operational and we are continuing to supply our wholesale and retail customers with our fresh roasted coffee beans both onsite, online and through our retail Brand Partners.
Health and Safety Measures
During this public health emergency, Gold Country Roasters is firmly committed to protecting the health and safety of our employees, customers and community. We are closely monitoring the situation, and complying with all public health guidance from our local, State and Federal authorities.
Inside the roastery, we have enhanced our protocols for cleaning and sanitizing of all work areas, equipment and frequently touched surfaces. Our employees employ frequent hand washing, and wear gloves and protective masks while roasting and packing our coffee. We have established new work flow procedures to ensure safe distancing between our employees while they are working.
Hours and Ordering Information
Our Roastery (located next door to our Cafe at 78 Scott St., Suite B) is currently open to the public for onsite coffee bean sales and order pick ups on a limited basis - please check our temporary Hours of Operation calendar for the most current information. We are also available at other times by special arrangement - please reach out by phone or email if you want to come by another time and we will do our best to accommodate you!
The public is not allowed inside our roasting facility, however, we will assist you through the open door and we have protocols in place to minimize close contact during sales transactions. We kindly ask that whenever possible you pre-order your beans by phone or online. Please choose the PICKUP option under the "Delivery Tab" on the Shopping Cart checkout screen to waive shipping fees and enable the free local pickup option. You will receive an email when your order has been processed and is available for pickup. If you prefer to pay at time of sale, we can process your cash, check or credit card payments on site in a safe and sanitary manner.
We also offer FREE local delivery to customers in the Murphys area (zip code 95247). If you are unable to leave your home at this time, please give us a call at (209) 728-8634 to place your order and request delivery service, or order online for free local pickup and make a note in your order comments box that you'd like delivery service.
Order fulfillment and Shipping Information
We are currently operating on reduced hours with limited staff, and therefore packaging shipping mail and local pickup orders on Monday/Wednesday/Friday only. We do our best to fill and ship orders as quickly as possible, but you may experience a 1-2 day delay in order fulfillment depending on what day and what time we receive your order.
In addition, the USPS has recently announced that domestic Priority Mail deliveries may be delayed an additional 1-2 days due to COVID-19. So your package that normally takes 1-2 days may now take 3-4 days or more to reach you.
Please plan ahead for your coffee shipments, and allow some extra time for the order to be processed, shipped and delivered. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate these uncertain times together!
